    Lily Asquith

Lily Asquith is a particle physicist who has just finished her PhD at University College London. Her work on this project has been to identify physics processes for sonification and to convert real and simulated ATLAS data into files readable by audio software. Lily came up with this idea whilst trying to describe to a very patient friend what she thought different particles would sound like. Lily currently spends much of her time talking about physics to non-physicists, when they will let her.

    Richard Dobson

Richard Dobson is at various times a flute player and teacher, composer, and music software developer, based in the west country. His work on this project has been to create scripts and programs with which to transform selected ATLAS data into sound, with special attention to the scientific aspects of sonification. His rare talents in both the creative and scientific realms have enabled the project to have an aesthetic side as well as the predominantly geeky side pushed forward by Lily.

    Archer Endrich

Archer Endrich is a composer with a special interest in sound design and algorithmic processing. For this project, he has been writing scripts for Richard Orton's 'Tabula Vigilans': to convert LHC data to musical values and to create files algorithmically so that the data can then be used with the CDP sound design software.Archer had the idea of using ATLAS data to modulate other sounds such as running water and time-stretched piano notes, which have created the possibility of a hugely rich library of sounds for composers to use.

    Toya Walker

Toya Walker is an illustrator and painter. She is also a closet physicist, quitting the subject after A level to focus her attentions on art. Toya has created all of the artwork on this website specifically to try and communicate what is happening at the LHC without giving anyone too much of a headache.

    Ed Chocolate

Ed Chocolate is a London-based producer, DJ and maker of hand built custom synthesizers and bespoke electronic toys. His enthusiasm and imagination ensured that the idea of sonifying ATLAS data became a reality. Ed's improvised electronica band WORM have started to incorporate sonified ATLAS data into their live performances.

    Eddie Real

Sir Eddie Real is a percussionist with several cult bands including The Alabama 3, The Muleskinners and WORM. Eddie provides invaluable insight into how the project should progress and what are the musical possibilities.
